- Your credit report will not change in the U.S. because they will never cancel your U.S. number just because your are now an Canadian citizen. Your american degrees are still vaild any where in the world. As long as you went to an acredited American school. I don't know what professional licenses you hold but most likely you would have to recertify yourself with the canadian license societies. For example in an accountant can become a CPA in american. An accountant in Canada is called a charter accountant. I would be able to answer your question better if I had more information. Your credit will start all over in Canada they use what is called social insurance number (sin).there sin is the same as our ssn. if you need more info feel free to email me
- Its not that easy. ANY country you move to...at some point, will require you to get a work permit, or residency permit, or green card or whatever they choose to call it. That process will do a background check on you to be sure you aren't a danger to them (like an escaped criminal) They will see you are skipping out on debt & expect you to give answers. Your plan has been tried by others.
- Licenses from the U.S. are usually specific to a single state in the U.S. When on vacation, you can use a driver's license in another state or Canada, but if you actually move outside your current state of residence, then you need a new driver's license. Most occupational licenses (medical, law, pharmacist, etc.) are valid only for work within one state and a new one is needed to work elsewhere. A federal firearms license is good nationwide, but only in the U.S., not in Canada.
- Even if you do move to a different country and get to start all over with a fresh credit report, you would still bring with you all the poor financial management skills that earned you that bad credit.
