Do you agree with this about homosexuality?

According to Love in Action International, homosexuality in teenagers can be cured if treated in time. http://www.thinkandask.com/2005/20050716love.html http://www.loveinaction.org/ I was a bit surprised learned that a credited international organization is doing this. I have many homosexual friends and they don't seem sick or troubled, they're even more responsible and loyal than most of my heterosexual friends.

1. obviously the one who typed that is not a homosexual and since he/she's not homosexual than they wouldnot know if homosexuality is a trouple!

3. "Treated"? No,they just seem to act,or think,that they're attracted to the opposite gender. You can't change your sexuality,your born with it and should embrace it.
4. in this case, treating = brainwashing. Anyone can be convinced of anything if blasted with it for long enough. Doesn't make it true, just means that now the kids are pretty much forced into lying to themselves. Its really sad.

6. I do not agree with this. Seeing things like this makes me very angry. Being gay or bi is not a disease so I dont understand why people would try and "cure" it. There is no cure for being homosexual when you are a teen. You may be able to be persuaded but nothing more.
7. It's not curable because it's not a disease or an illness. It's no wonder so many young gay people commit suicide with that kind of rubbish confusing them.

9. No I don't agree with the fundamentals of it. You can change any aspect of yourself but I dont think anyone should change who they are.
10. It's not "curing" them, it's psychological repression. Psychological repression can cause serious mental harm, as I've studied, and should never be practised on anyone.

12. Love in Action -- like NARTH and Exodus are NOT credited (or accredited) international organizations. Love in Action is a religious organization, as is Exodus. NARTH is a tiny organization which does not even require a professional license for membership, and still can muster only about 1000 members (as compared to the hundreds of thousands of persons with earned doctorates as well as licenses in the organizations that oppose them). The reparative therapy that these organizations propose, or the praying away of the gay has been condemned by every major psychological and psychiatric organization in the first world -- and to boot, it doesn't work. if you are serious and not just trolling for frightened kids to hurt some more by hoping that they will believe this tripe and spend years destroying themselves, then at the very least please watch the top video below. The idea that is advanced is a lie -- and furthermore, it is a lie with a purpose, to make people comfortable with their hate and homophobia so that they will vote against equality for gays. 13. That organization and others like it are crazy. They are dead set on treating us like we are a bunch of people with behavioral disorders. They are in massive denial, and they're spreading that to teenagers. They prey on gay people who are confused, hurt, or depressed. They convince those people that they are suffering because they are gay. Then, they teach them to sublimate their true feelings into some overstated concept of "family" that has more to do with fulfilling societal ideals than it does your own heart's desires. The truth is that they can't make you straight. They can help you to develop habits that appear heterosexual on the outside. However, your motivation for keeping those habits will always be different from heterosexuals. They can help you to refrain from finding same sex companionship, but they can't take that desire away. In other words, they can't change who you are. They can only help you change what you do. Its all a big sham. I'm gay, but I'm not addicted to sex, I'm not ashamed of myself, I'm not addicted to porn, and I am not consumed with hopelessness and despair. Yet, their website would have you believe that homosexuality lends itself to all of these things. These people are sickening.
14. I did not see the link you show us because respect everybody mind, but, the arguments about lesbians and gays are not clear and strongs, in negative o positive way. If we want to look trues answers need to be objetives. Many homosexualities cases are based on emotional experiencies, making wrong ideas about sexuality and pleasure. With a few exceptions most people have infancy psychological precedents that cause this trends. Regards!
