What does Suze Orman mean by "discount brokerage firm?"?
I watch Suze Orman almost every single week and I constantly hear her advise folks to rollover 401Ks with former employers to an IRA at a discount brokerage firm. What does she mean by discount brokerage firm? Is Vanguard considered a "discount brokerage firm?"

- A brokerage firm that doesnt charge too much per trade or for their services. You get a discount. Like an online brokerage-ETRADE.com
- Vanguard should be considered one. It has some of the best mutual funds. She may be speaking more of someone like Schwab that doesn't charge much for most of their services.
- A discount brokerage is a brokerage that offers you "no frills" service and in return you pay much lower fees. Most banks offer discount brokerage these days.
