Do you think the FDA have right causes to sue Kevin Trudeau?

I just heard this on the news today. FDA is sueing and taking Kevin Trudeau to Federal Court for making false claims against the FDA. The news also said that the FDA wants to have the control over "Natural Herbs", because the FDA claims it IS medicine. What is your opinion on it?

1. i dont know but IMO he deserves to get sued. his book doesnt hardly have any "cures," just complaints about the FDA wouldnt let me do this and the FDA wouldnt let me do that. it should be called "Chronicles of a Crybaby." and amny of the claims in there are widely unsubstantiated and/or likely false. his teachings easily could give people the impression that a life saving medication is bad and they should quit it and start taking herbs which havent been well studied. its flat out dangerous.
2. I have been contacted by the MLM scamsters that use him as a front fro ripping people off - not necessarily on the products - I don't know any specific thngs about that except for the populist books with atrocious science I have seen- but more for the high pressure get rich quick schemes which are behind all of it. Yeah. if this is a step in dismantling that once and for all, and that serves as a warning shot across the bow of the MLM industry as a whole, not much wrong with that in my book
3. He is right about the FDA but I still think he's more into profits than helping people. The FDA needs to make up their mind about herbal remedies, though. The companies that make them have to put a disclaimer on the label saying that they are not meant to treat, diagnose, or cure any disease. So are they medicines or not? I personally prefer herbal remedies to pharmaceutical concoctions. I believe that they are more beneficial and less harmful than what most doctors recommend. The problem with them is that many of them can be grown on your windowsill cheaply, so the drug companies lose profits when people choose them over their products. And they have refused to test and regulate them for many years because they could not make a profit from them. I think the goal now is to discredit and ban anything effective and cheap to protect profits. Many people that work for the FDA also have stocks and high positions with drug companies. Interestingly enough, many of these remedies are used in hospitals in Europe and many other places. Doctors and others fortunate enough to have (and believe) this information leave the US to obtain effective treatments for supposedly terminal and chronic illnesses that are illegal here.
4. I suspect that the FDA is not suing over statements critical of the FDA. I suspect that the FDA is suing over false claims made to consumers. The FDA also is trying to assert control over anything being sold as a medicine, whether it has any medicinal value or not, as an effort to stop some of the the modern snake oil salesmen.
5. I think they are sticking thier nose into everything trying to make money off of it as far as Natural Herbs, and the other I think people just like taking people to court.
